| Hole 10 |
|
This very short par four hole is less than three hundred yards in length and is described by some club members as "the easiest par six on the planet". The hole does not seem so imposing in that there are no severe hazards involved. Very strong players can, on occasion, drive the green. However the undulating, firm green, only 3200 square feet, tends to "reject" all but the most perfectly played shots. Behind the green and the left are particularly awkward positions. This green would make the renowned Donald Ross proud of course architect and contemporary Max Behr. RSFGC member Phil Mickelson has, from time to time, driven the green with a fairway wood and scored an eagle two on this hole. This hole is a beautiful little test demanding great precision. After you tee off check the hole position on the eighteen green. | | |
