Hole 16
This beautiful left curving hole is known as one of the favorite holes of the great Sam Snead. La Orilla Creek is hard on the left side for the entire length and the right is bordered by a steep hillside covered with thick natural underbrush and tall Eucalyptus trees. A gently curving right to left tee shot is perfect for following the shape of the hole. The slippery green is tucked in a charming setting directly adjacent to the creek. This is a visually pleasing and dangerous hole on which a par four is always a good score. Watch for the pair of Red Tail Hawks that nest in the large Eucalyptus trees near the green. These great raptors can be seen throughout the Rancho Santa Fe community.
